Threehold 2
We are doing a second run of Threehold, my Changeling: the Dreaming larp using Nordic-style consent mechanics. The second run will be in Melbourne on 2 June.
There will be a few changes from the first run: additional characters, changes to the way we’re doing character relationships and relationship workshops, and some changes to a few characters.
I’m hoping this will give us a good bit of feedback that we can use to polish the game up to be good enough to run again at Phenomenon in October this year.
Logistical details
Date: Saturday 2 June 2018
Time: 2pm for a 2:30 start. We’ll start with workshops in the afternoon, followed by a dinner and costume break about 5–6pm with game to run until about 10:30pm.

Caligo Mundi are very kindly hosting this run of the game. In order to be covered by their insurance, they need you to sign up for a free Caligo Mundi membership.

Game blurb
It is midwinter and the changelings of the three allied freeholds of the city are gathering for their solstice rites. They will bless their festival of rebirth, remember their past, and renew their vows of fealty. They will dance, drink, sing, duel and love, for all these things and more are blessed on the solstice day. At midwinter especially, the fae must protect the spark of humanity’s creativity from the dark that encroaches on it, so it can flourish again when spring one day returns.
This game is designed to let you try out the consent and safety mechanics used in blockbuster Nordic style games like the College of Wizardry and Convention of Thorns. You’ll learn the mechanics and playstyle in a comprehensive pre-game workshop, before trying them out with powers, romance, combat and politics.
Fantastical costuming strongly encouraged.
